One Touch Wireless 2 stops charging Google Pixel

Recently bought the charger/mount and while it shows charging at first, after a few minutes it stops charging and will not start again. This happens on both my Pixel 6 and my wife's Pixel 6 Pro. If it didn't work at all I'd suspect misalignment with the charging coils, but that fact that it works at first and then stops makes me wonder what is going on.
