iON Wireless Duo MagSafe Compatible

Is the iON Wireless Duo charger supposed to be compatible with MagSafe cases?

My pixel 8 with a MagSafe case installed seems to charge for about 10 seconds and then the indicator light starts blinking red. If I take the case off, the phone charges without issue.
