How to replace gel pad

I have had a cell phone mount on my dash for over 4 years and it finally gave out and won’t stick. I have washed it and no luck. Ordered a new gel pad. How do I remove the sticky gel off the iottie suction cup and apply this?

  Thanks for commenting! Our mounts do not have the ability to remove the gel pad on the bottom of the base of the car mount. In this case, we would suggest replacing the entire base out.

  In fact, a "used" sticky gel pad is fairly easily removed from the bottom of the suction mount -- you just kind of pull and peel it comes off quite cleanly. (In my case I have moved my mount from one car to another, then from that one to a third (due to cycling of work vehicles) and the bottom side of my gel pad, that sticks to the dash, has lost too much of its stickiness.  I hope it is possible to order replacement sticky gel pads, because I love the mount!

    BUT,... if I understand what other pages on your site says, I CAN NOT buy a replacement base!
