Thank you for contacting us.The first few times it may be hard to remove from the spot you placed it in. I would suggest the following:

    1. Pull up the lever
    2. Pull the tab on the suction up to allow air to get into it then stick a plastic putty knife, floss, a credit card (at your own risk) underneath to break the seal
    3. Once the seal is broken you will be able to remove it easier.

If you feel there is any residue left behind you can use goo gone and it will go away!

Please let me know your thoughts

Brittany, the instructions in your "answer" have nothing to do with the question.  Catsklgd1 was asking about the adhesive that holds the "dashboard pad" to the dashboard, NOT about detaching the suction cup.

I have the same question: is there a way to SAFELY remove the non-reusable dashboard pad (the flat disk that goes between the suction cup and the dashboard) without damaging the surface of the dashboard?  There are a number of negative Amazon reviews of the "Easy One Touch 4" claiming that their cars were damaged by the adhesive on your product and you are losing a LOT of sales because people don't want to risk damaging their cars.

    Thanks, Shawn

I have purchased one of the wireless chargers and have come here for the same answer.  But if you can’t or won’t answer the question I will be returning mine because I don’t want to damage my car either.

Brittany - Do you have an answer for the original question about how to remove the gel pad from a dashboard (not detaching the suction cup)?

    Hi Everyone,

I do apologize for the confusion. In order to remove the dashboard pad itself, you need to make sure you do step 2 & 3 of what was provided above.

    1. Pull the tab on the dashboard up to allow air to get into it. If you cannot pull it up on its own then we suggest sticking a plastic putty knife, floss, or a credit card (at your own risk) underneath to break the seal.
    2. Once the seal is broken you will be able to remove it easier.

Please let me know if this helps!

    Best,

Hello friends, I found something that worked like magic for me.  I wasn't trying to remove the pad from the dashboard but it came right off and didn't damage my dashboard at all (I'm not sure the pad can be re-used after taking it off with this stuff).

    Here's where I got mine:

    https://www.amazon.com/Bob-Smith-151-Insta-Set-Accelerator/dp/B0000DD1QR

Also available at most craft stores and Wal-Mart:

    Good luck!

Trevan - How will this remove the pad? Isn't this a glue hardener?

    Thanks,

    Lisa

Thank you Bethany!   Will be purchasing Goo Gone Gel in the morning!  Using the dental floss as directed by Brittany wasn't any help yet.
