Replacing Dashboard Pad

I was just shipped a replacement dashboard pad and suction cup. I am worried that if I remove the existing dashboard pad, that the new one will not adhere to the same spot on my dashboard. Has anyone done this before?

  Hello,

   

  We recommend thoroughly cleaning the area before reapplying. Our dashboard pads have a strong adhesive that should work fine in the same spot!
