Anyone else have this issue? Dashboard pad messed up my dash.

I need to move my mount from one car to another alot. I had a dash pad at first on both cars. Decided to mount to the windshield using the suction cup to be a way better idea. The dash pad seemed to be coming lose in car. So I took it off. Big mistake,it tore up my dash and the suction cup now has absolutely no sticky stuff on it all. It all came off of it like it was a sticky gel coating over the suction cup. So now I have a useless hunk of plastic that used to hold my phone but now no matter what I do won't stick to anything unless I attach a other dash pad and that I will not do.

  Hi, Brian. If your mount is out of warranty, you can buy 3M VHB adhesive disks for dash-mounting devices. If you can't find 65 mm disks, use a larger disk (e.g. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08ZS1TVQ2/) and trim the excess with a pair of sharp scissors after you apply it. Before you apply it, cut a 20 mm hole in the center with a hole punch. If you don't have a hole punch, you can do it with a steady hand and a very sharp hobby knife, immersing the disk in water to keep the gel from sticking to the blade. Before applying the new disk, clean the plastic suction cup throughly with 91% isopropyl rubbing alcohol to remove the old gel residue.
