- iOttie APP and Alexa APP can’t search out the Device, and there is no any led indication on the device.
- Check if the device has powered on. If powered, it will indicate the orange light flash or solid light.
- Check if the device is being connected by any other cellphone nearby, find the other cellphone and disconnect it.
- Check if the cellphone Bluetooth is turned on.
- The device can be found by iOttie APP, but cannot be found by Alexa APP.
- Check if the device has been connected by Alexa APP before, it yes, it will display on the device list, if it is online status, then you can directly talk to Alexa.
- If device is offline on the device list, you can try to quit Alexa app and reopen it to let it reconnect to the device.
- If device offline, try to restart the device.
- There is no reply when talking to the device.
- Check the internet connection of the cellphone.
- Keep the distance less than 1 meter between cellphone and device.
- How to remove the device on Alexa APP
- Open Alexa APP,go to Device->All Devices->iOttie EOT connect xxxx->Remove Device.
- Both voice and button cannot wake up the device.
- Check if the device is correctly powered on.
- Check if the device is being muted. If muted, the led will be solid red, you can click and hold the button on rear for about 5s to unmute it.
- The device cannot wake up by voice but can be activated by button.
- Try to restart the device.
- The LED is solid red on
- The device is on mute status, click and hold the button on the rear to unmute it.
- The device connection lost after the cellphone screen off.
- If the device lost connection, it will enter into waiting for connection status, the LED will be orange.
- Check the app power settings on your phone.
- Setup the Alexa APP to be “Keep the app running in the background “or “Background APP Refresh”.
Note: the setting UI may vary from the different cellphone.
- The device disconnects every 5 minutes or any other specific time.
- Refer to No. 9 issue reply.
- Cannot play Spotify.
- Alexa APP right now cannot support Spotify.
- OTA failed.
- Keep the distance less than 1 meter between cellphone and device.
- Stop Car music playing via Bluetooth.
- The deep link button on iOttie app brought them to an amazon browser page and then to the download app screen instead of open Alexa app.
This happens when the link is opened with the browser instead of Alexa app by default.
To reset it, please try to follow the below steps:
- Go to your phone settings-app settings-browser, and clear defaults.
- Open iOttie connect app, and choose the deep link button, when it asks you, choose open the link with Alexa app, and choose always.
